is a interactive teaching environment for the Computer Aided Architectural Design (CAAD) course in the 1st semester at the Department of Architecture at the Federal Institute of Polytechnics (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland. The goal of the course was to educate the students in the fundamentally new possibilites of design using the computer compared to analog work. Teaching the students how to work in a networked environment was another main issue. To investigate the quality improvements of the results due to the instant visibility of the other students' work even during their creation was the main topic of a research project of the chair associated with this course. The entire course environment has been programmed in PHP4 and is generated out of data stored in a MySQL database. 160 students took part in the one semester course supervised by 10 teaching assistants. The teaching assistants communicated with the students using the course environment and also created work protocols of their teaching efforts with the students in the system. By providing these features i was able to move the whole workflow of the teachers on the internet. open the course environment
