is a interactive, web-based teaching environment for the Computer Aided Architectural Design (CAAD) course in the 3rd semester at the Department of Architecture at the Federal Institute of Polytechnics (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland. The main goal of the course was to educate the students how to take advantage of digital media and the efficient use of color and light in the presentation of 3D space. The main task was to tell stories using hyperlinked views of photorealistically rendered space. The work of each student was immediately visible on the internet and could be incorporated into the story of another student. The entire course environment has been programmed in PHP3 and is generated out of data stored in a MySQL database. 170 students took part in the one semester course supervised by 12 teaching assistants. As well as the students the teaching assistants communicated with the students using the course environment and also created work protocols of their teaching efforts with the students in the system. By providing these features i was able to move the whole workflow of the teachers on the internet. The course was continued in summer 1999 by Mr. Kai Strehlke. start the course environment
